Measured to the real opening
Doors show measurement errors more than any other glass product. A few millimeters of racking becomes a latch that won't catch or a slider that drags. We template openings on site, check that the rough opening is plumb and level, and fabricate to the actual conditions rather than the plan dimensions. Can you replace just the glass in my sliding patio door?
Often, yes. If the rollers and frame are sound, we can replace a broken or fogged IGU panel in the existing door. If the door drags, leaks, or the frame is worn out, a full replacement slider gives you smoother operation and better insulation.
Do glass doors need tempered glass?
Yes. Under the California Building Code, glazing in and next to doors is a hazardous location and must be safety-glazed with tempered or laminated glass. Every door we install carries the proper safety glazing, permanently etched with its certification mark.
